Vogue - April 2007

Rosa Monckton (who has worked for Tiffany and Asprey & Garrard in the past) has set up a new online catalogue, showcasing the work of British designers and craftsmen.

It includes a wonderful selection of rings by silversmith Howard Fenn. They are large pieces, as opposed to delicate filigree jewels and are designed to give the gemstones prominence - a frame sites upright on the finger; displaying a solitaire diamond instead of a photograph. "The jewellery is presented in a modern way," says Monckton. "Every jeweller offers sentimental heart shapes, but our Love Hurts collection suggests that love and pain are inseparable." The edgy Attitude collection of mirrored pendants is engraved with sayings such as "You looking at me?".
